Acrylic bases are similar to fiberglass but instead of a gelcoat surface they uses a sheet of vacuum formed acrylic. Acrylic is extremely durable and with a dense surface. It is very stain resistant and easy to maintain. Standard bases include an integral drywall flange on three sides and an integral threshold.
